The Beyond Stigma Workshop is a crucial cultural competency training event designed to address the persistent issue of stigma surrounding HIV, a significant barrier to both treatment and prevention. This workshop offers a free professionalization opportunity specifically aimed at HIV healthcare professionals and community members who are committed to fostering a more supportive and inclusive environment for those affected by HIV.
Participants in the workshop will receive valuable educational materials, including a copy of the Beyond Stigma book, and certificates upon completion of the training. The workshop is particularly relevant for New Orleans and surrounding parishes, where HIV disproportionately affects Black women and men. Focusing on these high-impact populations, the training seeks to equip professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to implement targeted interventions to improve health outcomes significantly.
